28-Jan-2010 – CoRe Racing expands the iRacing division yet again, and is proud to introduce two long time simulation racing phenomenons

First up is Vesa Saarela, a 35 year old husband and father from Lahti, Finland. Currently he is working as an IT manager for a large global corporation. Also, Vesa is an avid photographer and video producer, and we look forward to seeing his work. Vesa, along with many of CoRe’s recently added members, has an extensive simulation racing background, one that stretches all the way back to the 90s. At the time, Vesa was very competitive in GPL, and won several Finnish championships. After a short hiatus from racing, he returned to the rFactor simulation in 2006, and has been continually racing ever since. Currently, Vesa participates in iRacing, and maintains a strong A road and D oval class licenses.

Secondly we have a long time CoRe Racing friend, Pat Dotson. Pat is a 45 year old husband and father of four from Kokomo, Indiana. Pat is a Purdue University Mechanical Engineering graduate, and is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer for Delphi Automotive Systems. In his spare time, Pat is also currently working on innovative sim-racing products. Unique to other recent signs, Pat has done quite a bit of real life racing. He has competed in SCCA autocross events, has won indoor series championships driving 4-cycle oval karts, has successfully developed, built, and competed with an innovative oval kart chassis of his own design, has attended the Track Attack racing school in Indianapolis, and is currently driving a CRG 100cc sprint kart. If that’s not impressive enough, Pat has been simulation racing in leagues since the early 90s. His list of accomplishments is literally astounding, and clearly shows why Pat is able to maintain an iRacing Pro license in both the oval and road divisions.
