ooo I KNOW!

I had this same problem.

If you have your 260 settings in the nvidia control panel different than what is in game, then the crytek engine goes crazy.

For example.

If you have AA and AF forced to 4x in the nvidia control panel, and in the game, you have it running at something different, then it does things like this. Put your setting back to default in game and make sure you match with your video card.

If this doesn't work.. then reinstall the game.

Both the ATI and nvidia control panels cause a lot of issues. Don't know if this is the case, but try the game with the control panel turned off.

Back when I had my EVGA 8800 (pretty old card now) I had to turn it off to run iRacing. If I left it on, it would red screen and loop the sound until I shut down the computer.

Yo. Have been trying this out again. I have tried what you guys said, putting the settings in the control panel to the same as in the game, with no luck. I have also tried to shut the control panel off, by turning off the process tree in the task manager. Doesent work either. I downloaded the newest mb and gpu drivers + reinstalled the game. Still same shit. I can't really understand it.

I just installed this myself, and I haven't had any problems... The game on a whole is pretty inconsistent. You might want to contact someone within the company about this.
