Hey there folks, Technically, the 16h Race 2009 is coming up shortly (next Saturday), and I'd like to make sure I have the necessary resources at hand. Right now I'm in search of people who would be capable of streaming the video up the to channel. If you have a decently strong computer (from experience, Core2Duo tower) and decent upload speed, and you are willing to help out, please let me know asap and we will fix something out.

AFAIK NDR is taking part in the race, maybe you can have a chat with them.

Deko told me that they couldn't get enough people... Unless something changes they won't be racing.

I have the equipment and 100 kB/s upload, but I'll be racing. :P My HTPC could probably handle this fine (c2d e6400, 4 gb, integrated 9300 or I could temporarily give it one of my 8800gt's), so the real problems are large amounts of upload and maybe an lfs key depending on how you set this up.

Corey, I don't think you want to be uploading the stream while trying to race at the same time. Lag city.

I don't want to either, just putting my resources out there.

I'll be honest Yannick, there really isn't a whole lot to it. You could probably handle recording it.

Hey Guys,
I want to offer you that I will stream the race.
I'm using a Decent PC with a Q6600 Core2Quad with a MSI Radeon HD 4850 videocard. I also have fast internet.
60Mbit download 10Mbit upload.
Which comes down to about 7,5MB downloads a second. and 3MB upload a second.
Please tell me if you are interested!

Yannick! Is it possible to download broadcasts from the46? Ondemand seems to buffer a lot for me. Just asking, wmv, avi, mp4, whatever, would be fine.

Hey there,
I'm still trying to think what I'll be doing with it. Without the manpower needed (and a constant one), LFS race broadcasts won't be able to continue on that channel. It might be used for other projects, but that as well is yet to be determined.
May I ask why the interest/question? :P

Just curious, I guess. I know you put a lot of thought and work (along with Kevin) and wanted to see if you had planned on going forward with broadcasting.
